SS3 Singapore: Fewer concert tickets available due to massive stage

SINGAPORE : Fans who have been eagerly awaiting the sale of tickets to K-pop group Super Junior’s one-night-only concert in Singapore next year can finally get them on November 20.

However they’d have to move fast as only 5,000 tickets will be made available for the January 29 show at the Singapore Indoor Stadium, said concert promoter Running Into The Sun.

The relatively small number of tickets available for the Singapore leg of the Super Show 3 – Super Junior The Third Asia Tour was a result of the group’s need for a bigger stage, the largest ever in the indoor stadium, to do their show. Seating capacity at the Singapore Indoor Stadium typically ranges from 6,000 to 8,000 for concerts.

Running Into The Sun revealed that the extremely elaborate stage setup would have giant LED screens, a 360-degree two-tiered circular platform with underground passageways as well as aerial stunt ropes and hidden hydraulic platforms that will allow the group to surprise the audience.

Some of the stage sets will be specially flown in from Korea.

“This concert will follow closely to what was done in Seoul – those who have watched the concert there would know how its show production is almost comparable to watching a 3D movie – where there will be action from the boys from unimaginable places,” said Running Into The Sun’s creative director Beatrice Chia-Richmond.

In addition, there will only be two ticket price tiers of S$158 and S$208 compared to the usual four as the unique stage design allows all members of the audiences seated in the same price tier to get a good view of the show.

Tickets go on sale at SISTIC from November 20-22 for SingTel customers with a Samsung phone (buyers have to flash their Samsung phone with a SingTel line when purchasing their tickets) and OCBC cardmembers.

Members of the public will be able to purchase their tickets from November 23 onwards.
